SeaLink Travel Group buys K.I. Odysseys Back
02 May 2010
The SeaLink Travel Group has announced it will acquire luxury 4WD tourism operator, Kangaroo Island Odysseys from Australian Pacific Touring (APT) as of June 1 this year.
The deal will expand SeaLink’s already extensive tour range on Kangaroo Island to include backpacker adventure tours and luxury platinum tours.
SeaLink’s Managing Director, Mr Jeff Ellison, said the purchase was a great fit to SeaLink’s current international product range and sees this as a growth opportunity for its personalised guided touring range.
“KI Odysseys carries nearly 5000 people per year, nearly all of them international visitors from France, Germany, Italy and the USA,” he said.
“We are confident that with SeaLink’s extensive marketing relationships and efforts, we can build visitor numbers and length of stay on Kangaroo Island, which will contribute to the local Kangaroo Island economy.”
The purchase comes eight years after SeaLink originally sold the business to APT.
