Finance Monthly magazine, a leading UK publication, has has named Minter Ellison Partner, Gerry Cawson among the winners in its '2011 Leading Advisor 100' survey.

Gerry, who is head of Minter Ellison Adelaide's M&A team, has been recognised as one of the top 100 advisors in the world.

Additionally, he is one of only four Australian based lawyers named in the survey.

“Gerry's selection in the top 100 advisors list reflects his widely recognised expertise and increasingly global reputation. We are proud of his achievements and of his recognition in this prestigious international publication,” says Nigel McBride, Managing Partner of Minter Ellison Adelaide.

The Leading Advisor list recognises achievements from the leading transaction advisors across the globe, from those involved in the biggest deals to those involved in the deals within the ‘tiger’ economies.

Candidates were initially nominated by their peers and the top 100 were then selected after an extensive five point evaluation process which included: amount of documented activity in 2010 compared to industry peers; previous accolades and entries within the international recognition guides; size (dollar value) of involvement within transactions, deals & cases; and peer recognition, personal achievement and feedback from Finance Monthly readership surveys.

Minter Ellison Adelaide's M&A team is understood to be the largest dedicated M&A team in South Australia.

With the increase in M&A activity over the next few years Minter Ellison expects the team will continue to deliver similar outstanding results into the future.
