Former Senator to become Adelaide Uni Chancellor Back
19 April 2010
Former Senator and Australian representative to the United Nations, Robert Hill, has replaced John von Doussa QC as the University of Adelaide’s Chancellor.
Mr Hill will bring a wealth of experience to the role, having also previously worked as a barrister and solicitor and completed a Masters in Law at the University of London.
Mr Hill will commence in the role on July 26 and will focus on continuing to grow the University's reputation internationally and nationally.
"Mr Hill's longstanding interest in education, in addition to his extensive background in the political and diplomatic arena, will help the University move forward with its plans for future growth in quality higher education," said University of Adelaide’s Deputy Chancellor, Pamela Martin.
