The Bridgecorp Case - A Lesson For All Directors

The Bridgecorp case concerns the Bridgecorp group of companies which borrowed money from the public to fund property developments in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. Bridgecorp collapsed and was placed in receivership in July 2007 owing investors approximately $500,000,000. Consequently the directors of Bridgecorp face numerous civil and criminal proceedings, with orders sought against them totaling more than $450,000,000.
