29 June 2010
Advantage SA will tomorrow host a tour focusing on South Australia’s internationally recognised education sector.
Advantage SA CEO Nikki Seymour-Smith said that the tour would take a behind-the-scenes look at the educational opportunities offered in the State.
“South Australia continues to attract record numbers of international students. Adelaide has established a reputation as Australia’s Learning City, and it’s not hard to see why – the educational opportunities offered in South Australia are world-class,” said Ms Seymour-Smith.
“Through tomorrow’s tour, we’re delighted to be able to highlight the elements of South Australia’s education sector which make Adelaide a premier study destination.”
The tour will explore South Australia’s newest educational projects, including Flinders University’s growing city presence, and the University Senior College School of Energy and Resources Australia (UCL SERAus), the first campus of its kind that the prestigious university has established outside of the United Kingdom.
Guests will enjoy a lunch by up-and-coming chefs at Le Cordon Bleu, one of the world’s most prominent culinary organisations, as well as receiving insights into the latest developments in wine innovation at the Wine Innovation Cluster at University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus.
Other educational institutions featured in the tour include MEGT Apprenticeship Institute Centre, University of South Australia, TAFE SA, Carnegie Mellon and the International College of Hotel Management.
The tour will be attended by South Australian business leaders who will attend as a key benefit of their Advantage SA membership, along with local media representatives from The Advertiser.
Supported by the Government of South Australia, the Education Tour is part of Advantage SA’s Around our State program. Around our State tours are highly regarded by business leaders and media alike in profiling success and innovation in South Australia by showcasing key South Australian industries and initiatives.
