Find out what's Heaps Good near you with new iPhone app

23 June 2010

South Australian iPhone users can now find out what’s Heaps Good in SA through a free application developed by Adelaide innovation agency, Fusion.

The Advantage SA Heaps Good campaign encourages South Australians to share what they love about our State simply by logging on to www.heapsgoodsa.com.au.

From cafes and bars to shops and holiday destinations, the application’s Heaps Near tool enables users to find and explore things to do in South Australia within an immediate radius of their current location.

Just like heapsgoodsa.com.au, the application also allows users to rate, love and comment on all the Heaps Good things the State has to offer.

Fusion Principal, John Chaplin, says the iPhone application provides an ideal opportunity to bring the Heaps Good campaign from the virtual world into real-time.

“With more and more people now accessing the web through their back pockets, a mobile app providing geo-specific Heaps Good information was the perfect platform to make Heaps Near information available everywhere,” said Mr Chaplin.

Advantage SA CEO, Nikki Seymour-Smith, says the iPhone application adds another dimension to the Heaps Good campaign’s hugely popular online community, which has attracted over five million hits so far and includes more than 550 peer-generated tips and tricks in South Australia.

“The Heaps Good iPhone application is a great way to further encourage South Australians to get out there, discover first-hand, and share all the fantastic things our State has to offer,” said Ms Seymour-Smith.

Advantage SA’s Heaps Good campaign and website was launched in early 2009, following success of the Heaps Good t-shirts designed by local Screamdance boys, Chris Edser and Sam Barratt.
