Buy the Way... Buy SA
15 April 2010
The Buy South Australian campaign has recently been reinvigorated with a revised message and all-new retail device to assist consumers to identify products that are made and produced here in SA.
Under the new brand Advantage SA, the evolution of SA Great, the Buy the Way… Buy SA message encourages consumers around the State to support local producers, growers and manufacturers by purchasing products made in South Australia.
Advantage SA CEO Nikki Seymour-Smith said that the new campaign is designed to communicate the advantages of buying local goods to consumers.
“As South Australians, we know that we are fortunate to have access to world-class produce on our doorstep. But many consumers aren’t aware of the benefits that purchasing these products has on the State,” Ms Seymour-Smith said.
“When we buy a truly South Australian product as well as being assured of quality, our purchase advantages the local economy by boosting employment, industries and livelihoods.”
“From fruit and vegetables to cheese and chocolate, clothing and electronics, buying South Australian products contributes greatly to shaping the future success of our great State.”
Local producers, growers or manufacturers who are Advantage SA members now have the opportunity to utilise the new Advantage SA Buy SA retail device on their packaging.
Ms Seymour-Smith said that the Buy SA logo, along with the Buy South Australian website makes it easy for consumers to learn where and how to buy South Australian products.
“The Buy SA logo and the Buy South Australian website, which now has over 800 businesses registered, means that consumers now have the tools to make informed choices when they are shopping. Buy the Way…Buy SA urges consumers to stop and think before they make a purchase.”
Registering on the Buy South Australian website, www.buysouthaustralian.com.au is free for South Australian growers, producers or manufacturers.
Developed by Adelaide agency McBocks, the Buy SA campaign will be rolled out across press, radio, television and outdoor media with the support of Advantage SA’s media partner network.
