Advantage SA campaign demonstrates SA's key advantages

South Australia’s economic prosperity and thriving industry sectors are the focus of a new Advantage SA campaign that aims to raise awareness of the key advantages of the State.

Advantage SA CEO Nikki Seymour-Smith said that the motivation behind the State Media Industry Campaign is educating South Australians of the positive position of the State’s economy, and the role that key industry sectors have played in this growth.

“The State is currently experiencing a strong period of economic growth which has been bolstered by our diverse industry sectors. Recent research completed by Access Economics found that the South Australian economy will continue to grow faster than the national economy in 2010 – 2011,” Ms Seymour Smith said.

“Coupled with our position as the defence State, our ranking as the world’s 10th most prospective mining location, and the fact that we are attracting record numbers of international students, there is so much happening in our State that South Australians can be proud of.”

“Adelaide is one of the world’s most liveable cities and Australia’s most cost-effective city for business. We’re not in the same place that we were 25 years ago, this campaign and our new brand and revised direction demonstrates that South Australia is clearly advantaged in many ways.”

Advantage SA and its co-brand Advantage Adelaide, for use outside the State, is the evolution of SA Great. Ms Seymour-Smith said that the new brand clearly communicates the advantages of the State, including the economic climate and industry boom.

“The State has experienced a myriad of changes over the years, and the new brand reflects the current mood and position of South Australia. As demonstrated by this campaign, the new brand provides the flexibility to be applied to different markets, industry sectors, programs and campaigns.”

Developed by Adelaide advertising agency kwp! the fully integrated campaign will be rolled out into the marketplace with support from Advantage SA’s media partner network. Advertising will span across press, radio, television and outdoor media.

Advantage SA was founded by the media of South Australia. The support derived from the Advantage SA’s media partners last fiscal year was enormous, with more than $4million of exposure secured.
