The Advantage SA Speakers in Schools program connects students with successful, young professionals, who provide first-hand advice regarding the benefits of building a career right here in South Australia.

Speakers give students a taste of life in the real working world, showcase a range of career opportunities, and inspire them to aim high and pursue their career dreams in South Australia.

With nearly 500 speakers from a variety of industries, teachers can select from a pool of speakers to present in classrooms, assemblies, graduation ceremonies and career expos, all at no cost!

Thanks to the support of the Government of South Australia, BHP Billiton, Credit Union SA and the University of South Australia this program is offered to schools at no cost.

Advantage SA wants to inform and inspire students about the vast range of career opportunities that are available here in South Australia. We organise speakers from a range of career and industry backgrounds to go into schools and talk to students about their job and how they made the journey from school into their current role.

Speakers receive a variety of professional development opportunities and become part of a wide network of like-minded South Australians who want to make a difference in the lives of school students.

For Teachers

Teachers are able to request a speaker for their students from a specific industry to present in a classroom, assembly, at a graduation or career expo!

There is no limit on the number of presentations or speakers per school therefore schools are encouraged to take advantage of the program and request a presentation today.

If you would like to request one of our speakers to visit your school, download the School Presentation Request form below. The form also lists the range of presentation topics available from engineering, agriculture and finance to media, tourism and IT.
